Privacy

The short version: we collect as little as we can, never sell anything, and you can delete what's yours at any time.

Looking up prices

On product pages at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target and eBay, the extension sends us the product's barcode or Amazon ID so we can look up other stores' prices. It does nothing on other sites, or on search and category pages. We don't record lookups against anyone.

Kept in your browser

The extension remembers whether you like the panel open or tucked away, whether you chose to share prices, and its random sharing ID. If you link an account, it keeps a sign-in token and shows the account's email. Prices it looked up are kept in browser memory until you close the browser, and reused for two minutes. You can remove all of it by removing the extension.

If you share prices

Sharing is off until you say yes. When it's on, the extension sends the product page's address (without anything after the "?"), price, name, condition and seller, from Best Buy, Walmart and Target pages. Never from Amazon during the beta.

What you share is grouped under a random ID kept in your browser. We store only a scrambled form of it, plus a one-way scrambled form of your network (not your address), used only to tell independent shoppers apart. Shared prices are unlinked from the ID after 30 days. Turning sharing off deletes the ID at once; IDs unused for 180 days are deleted too.

If you sign in

We keep your email address and the items you watch, so we can email you when a price drops. Your account is kept apart from sharing: we store no link between your email and your sharing ID.

Resend delivers our emails, so it receives your address and each email's text. When something on our server breaks, the error report goes to Sentry so we can fix it. We sell nothing, show no ads and have no tracking scripts on this site.

Delete your account any time from your watches page. That removes your address, watches, alerts and sign-in links at once.

Logs

Our hosting provider, Railway, keeps a request log (the address a request came from and what it asked for) for its standard retention period. We use it to fix problems.
